Do I need to install a vacuum breaker if I am going to have a sprinkler system?

• Yes. Code requires a vacuum breaker be installed on all sprinkling systems.

Can you connect a spray and rotor on the same zone?  

• No. Rotors and sprays have different precipitation rates. If a spray head were on a rotor zone, the area near the spray head would be very wet. If a rotor were on a spray zone the area around the rotor would be very dry.

What time of day should I water?         

• We recommend that you water early in the morning so that the cycle will be completed by breakfast time. We only recommend a second time during the day if it is extremely hot or you have areas with steep slopes.

How should I water the lawn after hydroseeding?         

• One thing is for sure; you should always follow your hydroseeder's instructions. When this isn't possible we will give you some guidlines we use. Water 2-3 times per day lightly. This means water until you see puddles forming, then stop. The goal is to water until puddling then stop and allow for infiltration. You do not want to see standing water.

What do I do if my spray nozzle is clogged?     

• Unscrew the nozzle off the head and flush it out with water. Then try blowing on the nozzle.

What happens to my controller when the power goes off?         

• The battery will hold the program. If power goes off while sprinkling, sprinkling will stop during power outage. When power returns, you will continue sprinkling. Any sprinkling time during power failure is lost for that night only.

What should I do if a sprinkler head is broken?            

• Turn time to 0 minutes on the zone the sprinkler head is on. Then fix the head, call for service, or use our on-line service request form.

What should I do if sprinkling is on and the controller is off?      

• Chances are this is a more involved problem than with which a homeowner can deal. Simply turn valve to sprinkling off and call for service or use our on-line service request form.

What if I turn on the station at the controller but there is no water?        

1. Check the valve to sprinkling and make sure it is open.
2. Check valves on vacuum breaker and make sure they're open.
3. Check power on controller. Or, call for service or use our on-line service request form.
